I had a pleasant stay at The Prince Alfred. The rooms are exceptionally clean and recently modernized. I really appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities. The shared bathrooms were maintained to a high standard, always looking tidy. The location is convenient, with a train station just a stone's throw away. Easy access to McDonald's and Domino's is a bonus. While there is no breakfast offered, the kitchen had a fridge for keeping snacks. I did find the temperature in the rooms a bit warm, so that might need addressing. The exterior could use some improvement as it looks somewhat rundown.

Shared bathrooms maintained to a high standard, always looking tidy. The rooms were exceptionally clean and provided tea and coffee-making facilities which added a nice touch during the stay.
Noise from the pub downstairs was a significant disturbance, particularly with loud music echoing late into the night, making it challenging to get a good night's sleep. The check-in process was confusing, particularly for late arrivals, as the entrance to the accommodations was hard to spot, and access became a hassle. there were no towels or toiletries provided, which felt like a missing basic expectation for a B&B. The area surrounding the premises gave off a slightly rundown vibe, impacting the comfort level when entering or leaving late at night.

Had a great time with friends! The staff was super friendly, making our stay feel welcoming. Loved the spacious rooms and clean shared bathrooms. Close to Aintree Racecourse and Anfield Stadium, perfect for our outings. The food downstairs was delicious and well-priced. Would definitely recommend this spot!
We did face some noise from neighboring rooms, which was a bit distracting at night. It would be helpful if the hotel addressed soundproofing.

We enjoyed the perfect location, just a short distance from Aintree Racecourse and Anfield Stadium, which was great for our family outings. The cleanliness of the place was impressive, and the fridge in our room was perfect for storing snacks for our small child.
My kids wished for better soundproofing from the music outside.

Anne greeted me with a smile and made sure I was settled in, and the room was spacious with a super comfy bed. I loved having the chance to unwind in the cozy reading nook and enjoying some peaceful time at the shared lounge. A little noise from downstairs during the weekend kept me up a bit, but it didn't ruin my overall stay. 😊

Great for Family Needs!
Despite a few hiccups at check-in, our family enjoyed a comfortable stay. The kitchen was a nice touch, although rules could be clearer. Don't miss the nearby bar/restaurant for a lively atmosphere. Pro tip, call ahead for check-in times for a smoother experience.

Recommend it for a budget group stay
We had a surprise at how clean and well maintained it was,, everything felt fresh in the room,, even the skirting boards were spotless, which is rare. The host was really lovely,, not at all like my usual interactions in places like this,, he went above and beyond to make our stay better.
It wasn't exactly inexpensive,, but I guess you get what you pay for.
